AND THE ANSWERS YOU NEED

Booking your wedding photographer shouldn’t be difficult or stressful. Here is a list of questions that we’re asked most often. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, please call us at the studio.

Our style is simple – a cross between fine art portraiture and documentary. It’s timeless. It’s classic. And more importantly, it’s real. Our photos show who you are— as individuals and as a couple —and document the authentic emotions and relationships you have with each other and with the people who matter most to you.

What is your style?

01

NO.

Hmmm…that depends on what you mean by “posey.” If you mean looking at the camera, well…we don’t avoid that. It’s your wedding day. You may not think so now, but you will want a few photos of you looking happy and smiling at the camera. (And your Grandma will too.) But if you mean still, uncomfortable and awkward positions and poses, then relax. Trust us. We give great directions that will have you relaxed and connecting with each other, resulting in beautifully natural and authentic images that you’ll love forever.

I don’t want “posey” pictures. How do you avoid that?

02

NO.

Well, you can, but do you really want pictures from someone else’s wedding? We’d rather photograph your wedding – organically, as it happens. Instead of copying those photos, let’s create images that are authentic to you and your day; images that other brides are going to beg their photographers to take for them. What we do need from you, however, is a list of the family photos that you want us to take.

Can I give you a list of photos from Pinterest than I want you to take?

03

NO.

We don’t have a set number and it really depends on the size of your wedding. You’ll only get the best of the best, though, because quality is better than quantity. For the average wedding, it tends to be 500-700 photos. The photos will be delivered 6-8 weeks after the wedding. We won’t rush through them and sacrifice quality just to get them to you quickly, though.

How many photos will we get and how long will it take?

04

NO.

Of course. These photos are all you’ll have from your wedding, and we’re going to make sure they’re perfect. Each image in your gallery is hand-edited by my highly trained team and they’ll be print-ready when you receive them.

Do you edit our photographs?

05

NO.

We want to make sure we’re giving you all of the attention you deserve, so our team will accept no more than 25 weddings each year.

How many weddings do you photograph each year?

06

NO.

Yes, every collection includes a lead photographer and a very talented assistant.

Is a second photographer included?

07

**WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM CLIENT

Do you offer albums and do I really need one?

08

NO.

Absolutely! Have passport. Will travel. Where would you like to go? Minimal travel fees apply. Popular destinations include the Outer Banks, the mountains, Washington DC, New York, Charleston, Savannah, the Bahamas – and loads of places in between. If we can get there by plane, train, or automobile, we’re game.

Will you travel for our engagement session or our wedding?

09

NO.

As soon as you know. because once we’re booked, we’re booked. We can each only photograph one wedding in a day and we’re usually booked a year or more in advance. So it’s best not to risk losing your day to another couple. Unfortunately, we cannot hold your date or just “pencil you in.” To be fair to everyone, commissions are on a first come, first served basis. If you want your date, a signed contract and paid retainer are required.

How soon should we book you and can you hold our date?

10

NO.

It’s pretty simple. After we’ve met and you’ve decided which collection is best for you, you’ll sign a contract, pay your $1000 and that’s it. Two easy steps and we’re booked. Then the real fun begins!

How do we book you?
